Terms of Service

These Terms of Service take effect on October 16, 2026; until that date, the previous version remains applicable.

Purpose

These Terms of Service (ToS) govern access to and use of the Trasimène mobile application and the website trasimene.com, published by TRASIMENE SAS (61 Rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris). The application provides mobile security services: antivirus, VPN, encrypted digital vault and dark web monitoring.

Permissions: some of the app's checks require access that the phone asks you to authorise, for example location or notification access. You remain free to refuse or withdraw it at any time in the phone's settings: the checks that depend on it then remain inactive, with no effect on the others. Details of the access rights and the data processed are set out in the Privacy Policy.

Automatic VPN connection: for subscribers, it is enabled by default. On Android, the VPN reconnects when monitoring starts and when the VPN screen is opened; on iPhone, a system “on-demand” rule re-establishes the tunnel as soon as a network is available. It can be turned off at any time in the VPN screen. On iPhone, when the end of the subscription is established, the app removes the VPN configuration from the phone.

Access Conditions

Age: access to the service is restricted to persons aged 18 or over. Minors may use the service only with the express consent and under the responsibility of their legal guardian.

Account: each user may create only one account. Creating an account implies full acceptance of these ToS and the Privacy Policy.

Accuracy: users undertake to provide accurate information upon registration and to keep it up to date.

Acceptable Use

The following uses of the Trasimène service are strictly prohibited:

  1. attempting to circumvent or neutralise the application's security mechanisms, outside the responsible disclosure framework described below;
  2. reselling, sublicensing or transferring access to a third party;
  3. using the application for unlawful, fraudulent or public-order-violating purposes;
  4. performing abusive automated operations (mass scraping, fuzzing) against the Trasimène API or servers, outside the responsible disclosure framework;
  5. sharing login credentials with other individuals.

Responsible disclosure: vulnerability research conducted in good faith, without degrading the service or accessing other people's data, is permitted. Report any findings to contact@trasimene.com (see trasimene.com/.well-known/security.txt); TRASIMENE SAS undertakes not to take legal action against researchers acting in good faith within this framework. The rights recognised by article L122-6-1 du Code de la propriété intellectuelle (French Intellectual Property Code), notably for interoperability purposes, remain reserved.

Service Availability

Trasimène endeavours to keep the service available 24/7. Occasional interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or events beyond our control (force majeure). No contractual SLA applies to consumer subscriptions. TRASIMENE SAS will notify users of planned maintenance with reasonable notice. For security reasons, a minimum app version may be required: the app will then ask you to install the update from the store before continuing.

Liability

Best-efforts obligation: Trasimène undertakes to implement all reasonable means to secure your device. No 100% protection against all cyber threats is technically possible.

Limitation: TRASIMENE SAS shall not be liable for indirect damages, data loss, financial loss or reputational harm resulting from the use or inability to use the service.

Third parties: Trasimène is not responsible for the content, products or services of third-party websites accessible via links in the application.

Termination

By the user: termination may be effected at any time from the personal space (section My subscription). It takes effect at the next billing date. No pro-rata refund is made unless there is a proven billing error.

By Trasimène: TRASIMENE SAS reserves the right to suspend or close an account in the event of a breach of these ToS, with prior notice except in cases of seriously abusive conduct.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to the Trasimène application (source code, design, trademarks, detection algorithms, knowledge base) are the exclusive property of TRASIMENE SAS. A subscription grants the user a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use. Any other use requires prior written authorisation.

Amendments to the ToS

TRASIMENE SAS may amend these ToS at any time. Users will be informed of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after this period constitutes acceptance of the updated ToS.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These ToS are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution. Failing agreement, any dispute shall be submitted to the courts within the purview of the Paris Court of Appeal, subject to the protective provisions applicable to consumers, who may bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.
