Free Android antivirus: what is free at Trasimène, and what is not
At Trasimène, all security features are free, on Android and on iPhone: phone monitoring, QR code checks, an alert if your email address leaks, a 5 GB vault and security reports. Only the VPN is paid: €3.99/month or €39.99/year, with no trial period. You just need an account.
What is free?
As of October 2026, everything that protects your phone:
- automatic phone monitoring: up to 157 checks on Android, 48 on iPhone;
- checking QR code links before you open them;
- an alert if your email address shows up in a data leak;
- the encrypted vault: 5 GB, up to 30 MB per file, 10,000 passwords and 10,000 notes;
- PDF security reports;
- the app in 26 languages.
The app shows no ads.
What is paid?
Only the VPN. It creates an encrypted tunnel between your phone and a Trasimène server, in the country you choose among 19. Without a subscription, the servers refuse the VPN connection; the rest of the app works as usual.
How much does the VPN cost?
- €3.99/month, no commitment;
- €39.99/year, about €3.33 a month.
These are the prices including tax in our terms of sale as of October 2026. On the App Store and Google Play, the price is shown in your country's currency and may be different.
Is there a trial period?
No. There is no trial period: security is already free, and the VPN is paid from the moment you subscribe.
Do I need a bank card?
Not for security. For the VPN, you pay as you prefer:
- in the iPhone app, through the App Store;
- in the Android app, through Google Play;
- on trasimene.com, by card, through RevenueCat (payment processed by Stripe).
Payment is handled by Apple, Google or Stripe, not by Trasimène. We never store any card details.
How do I cancel?
Where you subscribed:
- iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions;
- Android: in Google Play, the Subscriptions page, choose the subscription, then Cancel subscription;
- Website: your account, Settings section, "Manage my subscription" button.
The VPN stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling does not refund the current period, except for a billing error on our part or a service completely unavailable for more than 72 hours in a row through our fault. If you subscribed on the App Store or Google Play, refunds follow Apple's or Google's rules.
On how many phones?
A Trasimène account works on one phone at a time, paid or not. If you sign in on another phone, the first one is signed out. The VPN has one active connection per account.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Both apps ask for an account, even for free security, and a confirmed email address before you go further.
How does Trasimène make money?
In the Trasimène app, from VPN subscriptions, the only paid feature. The app has no ads.
